Andrii Kovalenko
Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine
Officer of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Born in Kyiv, he holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
He has over 10 years of experience in the media industry (Segodnya, Kommentarii, Espreso, Depo.ua), advancing from journalist to editor-in-chief. His expertise includes international and military analysis, as well as information operations.
He has also worked in government institutions and served as a PR consultant.
Collaborated with the Institute for Eastern European Studies (Poland) on research into Russian propaganda.
Since 2022, he has been a military serviceman, UAV operator, an active-duty officer in the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
He manages personal social media accounts with an audience of 700,000 followers.
