Roman Proskurovskyi

Roman Proskurovskyi has extensive experience in information protection, cybersecurity, and electronic trust services.

Prior to his transfer to the position of Head of the Office for Critical Infrastructure Protection, for almost eight years, Roman Proskurovskyi had been working as Deputy Head of the Information Security Office and the Head of Division of Support and Implementation of NBU Key Management System at the Security Department. Also, he worked as Deputy Head of the NBU’s Cybersecurity Center, Deputy Head of the NBU’s Certification Authority, and Head of the NBU’s Accredited Key Certification Center, a qualified provider of electronic trust services.

Prior to joining the NBU, in the period from 1997 to 2015, Roman Proskurovskyi served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, security agencies, and the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.

He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (2002) with a degree in Information Security Engineering, Kyiv International University (2007) with a degree in Law, the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (2019) with Master’s Degree in Public Management and Administration.

In 2009, Roman Proskurovskyi earned his PhD in Technical Sciences in the field “Information Security Systems”. He is an Associate Professor of the Department of Application of Cryptographic and Technical Information Protection at the Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
