Roman Sobol
Deputy Head of Security Department, Naftogaz of Ukraine
Roman Sobol is an information security expert with over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and the implementation of international security standards.
He worked at Naftogaz of Ukraine, where he led the Information Security Management Group. He developed the concept for the Naftogaz Group Cybersecurity Center, coordinated the security department’s activities, and implemented regulatory documentation in accordance with ISO 27001.
Previously, he worked at Naftogazbezpeka and Ukrtransgaz, focusing on the implementation of information security tools, the development of SOC centers, and the prevention of data leaks. He also has experience in law enforcement, specializing in cybercrime investigations, fraud, and financial cyberattacks.
