Deputy Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Ministry of Estonia for Cyber Security and Digital Infrastructure

Tõnu Grünberg has thorough experience in building resilient ICT infrastructure and services in multiple countries, from Nordics and Baltics to Central Asia, Nepal and Moldova. He also has experience in energy and transportation sectors.

Prior to joining Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs, Tõnu Grünberg led as CEO the biggest Data Center in Baltics, modern railway construction project connecting Tallinn to Warsaw and telecommunications company in Uzbekistan. He also served as Group CTO for Telia communications group overseas countries headquarted in Istanbul. Currently he serves also a Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Elektrilevi – the dominants energy grid operations company in Estonia, as well as a Supervisory Concil member of Estonian Internet Foundation - .ee domain name operator.

Tõnu Grünberg has masters degrees from Tallinn Technical University on radio technology and from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden on digital communications systems and technology.

He is also liaising with defence tech startup community both in Estonia and in Ukraine participating in related events as mentor and advisor.
