Counselor for Cyber and Digital Policy, Embassy of Ukraine in the USA
Oleksii Hichko is a Counselor at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, specializing in cyber diplomacy and international cyber policy.
He brings extensive experience from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and international organizations, including the OSCE and the Council of Europe. He previously held senior positions in cyber diplomacy, represented Ukraine at the Council of Europe Cybercrime Convention Committee (T-CY), and contributed to the development of international norms for responsible state behavior in cyberspace.
In his current role, he focuses on advancing Ukraine’s cyber and digital cooperation with the United States and international partners and coordinates Ukraine’s participation in the International Counter Ransomware Initiative (CRI).
