
Senior Advisor, CRDF Global
As Senior Advisor at CRDF Global, Tom Callahan is responsible for analyzing emerging trends in international security and technology and developing strategic plans to strengthen CRDF Global’s engagements with key external stakeholders. He comes to this role after a distinguished career in the government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors.
Most recently, Callahan served as Senior Professional Staff for U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Chairman Bob Corker (R-TN) with responsibility for national defense, security assistance, counterterrorism, nuclear security, arms control and nonproliferation issues.
Previously, he was Vice President for Government & Public Affairs at PAE, a privately held government services company with operations throughout the world. As a member of the senior executive team, Callahan helped steer PAE from $700 million in annual revenue at divestiture in 2011 to $2 billion through organic growth and four strategic acquisitions.
He was a Schedule C appointee in the Department of State 2001-07 as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, Senior Policy Advisor for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security Antiterrorism Assistance program, and senior professional staff in the Secretary of State’s Office of Policy Planning.
In addition to other roles on Capitol Hill, Callahan was Director of Special Projects for the disaster relief organization AmeriCares, Public Policy Director for World Vision, and resident South Africa Director for the International Republican Institute.
Callahan attended Dartmouth College and Yale Law School. He has lived, worked, or traveled in 75 countries.
